How to Write a Novel Using the Snowflake Method by Randy IngermansonLooking for a better way to plot?

How to Write a Novel Using the Snowflake Method by Randy Ingermanson is an incredible story about how stories are constructed.

Join Goldilocks as she attends a writer’s conference, trying to find a way past her writer’s block and start writing the story she’s been dreaming about for ages.

Papa bear is all about structure. Mama bear is all about tuning into the inner creative voice. But Baby bear, falling somewhere between the two, is just right.

The big bad Wolf is also attending the conference, and he just so happens to be an agent, and the nephew of one of the wee little piggies, who is also there, is not happy about it. While Goldilocks is figuring out how to use the snowflake method to prepare her story, her friendship with Wolf takes her on a side quest into a shady past.

Learning about the snowflake method through the Goldilocks parable is incredibly entertaining, as well as useful. This method helps you delve into the motivations of your characters as well as the why’s and the how’s of the story so you can begin writing with a clear path before you.

For those of you worried that plotting is stifling, I would encourage you to read this book before you make that assumption. It can be incredibly freeing, and an excellent way to battle the dreaded “writer’s block.”
